Paços de Ferreira

The municipality of Paços de Ferreira, with just 70.99 km2, is the smallest of the 11 municipalities of Tâmega e Sousa, but the most densely populated, with 55,600 inhabitants.

 

Its population is, along with Lousada, the youngest in the sub-region.

 

It is strongly industrialised, with an image particularly associated with the furniture industry, earning the title of 'Capital do Móvel' [Capital of Furniture].
